HOW HAVE WE ENGAGED THE PUBLIC?

The Palm Beach TPA during the Okeechobee Blvd. & SR 7 Multimodal Corridor Study held several public outreach opportunities throughout the duration of the study in the form of in-person workshops, virtual workshops, surveys, interactive mapping, email, handouts and social media.

In-Person Public Workshop 1
Issues and Opportunities
(August 19, 2021)

The Palm Beach TPA held its first in-person public workshop for the Okeechobee Blvd. & SR 7 Multimodal Corridor Study on Aug 19, 2021. 40 participants attended the workshop to learn about the study and provide input on issues and opportunities along the corridor.

Virtual Public Workshop 1 Issues and Opportunities
(August 19, 2021 – November 12, 2021)

The TPA also launched a virtual public workshop on August 19th and was closed on Nov 12, 2021. Participants could review the same content shared at the in-person workshop as well as participate in an online survey and interactive comment map.

Virtual Public Workshop 2 Multimodal Alternatives
(December 3, 2021 – January 17, 2022)

The TPA launched a  second virtual public workshop on December 3rd, 2021, and was closed on January 17th, 2022. Participants could review the set of alternatives as well as participate in an online survey ranking the different alternatives.

(May 10, 2022)

The Palm Beach TPA held its final in-person public workshop for the Okeechobee Blvd. & SR 7 Multimodal Corridor Study on May 10, 2022. Over 40 participants attended the workshop to learn about the study findings and next steps.
